We celebrated such a fun birthday for Papa this year. After Brennan's swimming lessons, Brennan and I went on a quick shopping trip (which happened to also involve a Spring Festival with Bouncy Houses and all sorts of fun) and then after lunch, we set off to hike Little MT Si in North Bend, Wa. Papa's birthday was the Saturday before Easter this year - Caelan had to wear her bunny hat to shelter her head from the sun.
Caelan was so excited to get out of the pack and hike She had a really hard time with the uneven ground, but she was very determined. Brennan is our champion hiker.....he basically ran up the mountain.

I love the pure JOY in these pictures.....and you get a sense for how happy and fast she was trying to hike on her own.
