Happy 3rd Birthday to Ewan!

 

A few weeks ago we celebrated Ewan’s 3rd Birthday.  Ewan is Caelan’s best friend, and Cassidy’s baby brother.  It was a dinosaur party. 

This struck me so funny…..it looks like they are working a street corner for loose change….Caelan on the guitar and Ewan singing his little heart out. 

I asked Caelan to go over and sit with Ewan and she was so ‘stinky’ about it….eventually she went and gave him a hug…..

And then gave me this ‘stinky’ face!

Love that he’s all smiles and she’s still throwing me daggers. 

Happy Easter 2014

We made this sign for Brennan and left it at the top of the stairs.  He was talking a lot about waking up early to see what the Easter Bunny had brought and we wanted to make sure he waited for the rest of us.  He had to wait a whole HOUR before we finally woke up Caelan. 

We had tried on her dress and coat the night before to make sure everything fit, and she insisted on changing out of her jammies right away and putting them on before the ‘hunt.’

She’s pretty pleased with this Spider Man egg from her basket.

The kids were so uncooperative this year when it came to taking pictures……the only halfway decent smiles I got were when I told them to be silly. 

After church & lunch I let them eat their Chocolate Bunny…..even that was met with grumpiness & sour faces….

Jenny Pastore came over for Easter dinner and was very excited to try out “Peeps Sumo” with the kids.  It was a big flop…..I think it might work better with the chicken kind.  You are supposed to prop them up with toothpicks on a plate and then put them in the microwave.  The one that knocks over the other one first ‘wins’.  Ours just turned into piles of goo.

Decorating Easter Eggs

 

The kids got back from MT on a Saturday afternoon, and on Sunday we decorated Easter Eggs….it was a beautiful Spring day, so I decided to just take the mess outside to the alley.  It was great because when the kids were feeling impatient they could go play and then come back.  We got some really colorful eggs because they got to sit and ‘stew’ for a long time. 

After eggs, Caelan ended up even getting a pedicure in the alley. 

I lucked out in being able to capture a few really great pictures of the kids with their little buddies.  This is Nate (our neighbor behind us in the blue house) and Cassidy.  It’s a miracle to get them all looking at the camera and smiling!
