So, Caelan has become a real 'ham' when I bring out my camera.....Brennan still is not very cooperative, and when he does try to smile, I get this.....

We went to the parade in downtown Issaquah and met up with Brennan's best little friend from school, Alexander....I love the pure joy in seeing each other here - it had been a few weeks since school ended. 

The were remarkably good at sharing candy with each other, not so good about letting Caelan get some. 

Its amazing how much she 'gets' just from observing the boys.  She quickly caught on that she needed to wave to the people in the parade and hold her bag and put things in it. 

That night we went to Gene Coulon Beach park to watch the fireworks.  It was a beautiful day - the first real nice weather of the summer.  Alexander and his family joined us too.  It was a great day.   

The boys passed some time wrestling....

And finally we resorted to letting them play games on the iPod. 

Caelan started to get pretty goofy tired when it got past her bedtime, but she did really good all in all.  She actually didn't fall asleep until we got home.....Brennan crashed HARD during the car ride home.

No, summer has not yet arrived in Seattle, but that doesn't mean we can't have ice cream, right?
