Snow Storm - November 22nd 2010

Yesterday was my official first day on Maternity Leave - and it was super cool to get snow and to be "stuck" at home. I heard from a co-worker that it took him 4 hours to get from work to the Issaquah Highlands on Monday night - needless to say I was thankful to be home and thankful that baby girl ward is staying "put".

The snows started Sunday, November 22nd. Sean basically had to use all the snow that was on the grass at the time to make this snowman. BUT, it snowed heavily all afternoon and we ended up with a whole lot more snow.....which is good because this snowman ended up falling over and has yet to be rebuilt.

This is what our alley looked like about 3 hours later.....this is Sean and Brennan heading to the local park for some sledding.

LOVE the fact that he now thinks it is FUN to hawl his sled back up the hill.

The snow on our bushes.

Battle of the Bellys - 39 Weeks.

At dinner tonight, Brennan said "Look at this big "bump" in my tummy" - so Sean challenged him to compare his belly with mine. I have a real goofy look on my face because that's how he had just looked at me! Needless to say I think I "won" the challenge. 39 weeks tomorrow....

Crazy Boy

While I was upstairs tonight organizing the office/nursery, Sean and Brennan were outside making a "nest". Sean brought out several blankets, and some pillows.....hit plan being they would make the nest, snuggle in together, and watch the quietness of the neighborhood covered in snow. Apparently, Sean did a real impressive job setting up the nest. Brennan ended up kicking him out, stripping down (he's not into wearing jammies to bed right now - just undies), and hunkering down in the nest. Sean had to call me in to see him, and I couldn't believe he had done that! It was below 20 degrees outside!

Sibling Class at Swedish Hospital

Brennan went to a Siblings Class at the hospital this weekend. It was for kids 3-10 yrs old. He did pretty good although he was more interested in socializing then anything else. He got to see a picture of what baby girl looks like in my tummy, and pictures of newborns, and we took a tour of a birthing suite as well.

Halloween 2010

Pictures from pumpkin carving & being a monster.

I bought Brennan's costume at a consignment store and he just fell in love with it. It was a green 3 eyed monster. He wanted to take his nap in it when we brought it home and he was a total sweat ball. BUT, it was 3T, and although he is 3 he is a very tall 3 so it really was way too small. But, he still wanted to wear it.

The morning after Halloween, Brennan and I were snuggling and the first thing he said to me was...."Papa says I look like a green shaggy carpet." it was so funny!

The first picture is of Brennan and the two girls who live across the street.
