Brennan's Dance Party

Brennan has a way of dancing that is so funny. He bobs up and down and swings his right arm.....but every time I try and capture it on film he stops doing it. Sean tried playing a bunch of music the other night trying to convince him to get his groove on......so I pieced a bunch of clips together. This is still cute, but we have yet to capture all of his moves on film.....

Brennan LOVES Cookies!

He says many things - Mama, Teddy, Banana, Hi & Bye.....and he's even started saying "Papa" - (FINALLY)......but now he's started to say COOKIE! Sean makes awesome Chocolate Chip Cookies - so Brennan is going to be a very lucky little boy! Here's him very clearly telling us what he wants.

Brennan Loves Cassidy

Brennan has started to give kisses.....he closes his mouth and hums as he's "going in". Its so cute. So, last night Brennan's little friend Cassidy came over to play for a little bit before dinner. She lives just a few houses a way and is about 6 months older than Brennan. Brennan was so excited to see her, and he started giving her hugs and trying to "kiss" her. It was so cute!!!!! Cassidy's daddy was a little ticked that Brennan did not even take her to dinner first, or ask his permission........(<8

Now he's going in for a kiss.....but he doesn't quite make it....

Good Signing

Brennan has enjoyed watching Baby Signing Time since he was an infant. It covers some pretty basic sign language - and every once in a while Brennan pulls out his skills and starts signing, and we realize he's actually "getting it." He's been signing "more" - more and more lately.....he also has been trying to sign "all done" - but sometimes he's not really "all done" so we have to work on that one. Its still really fun to see him do it. Last night, I was adding black olives to my salad - and the kid LOVES black olives, so he was boisterously signing "more" to try and get another black olive.

Our little climber.....

We're starting the process of painting our house, and Brennan has proved to be a fearless climber of the ladder (like Father like Son I've been told)! I've got a video I will post soon - its just too big to post unedited. We've had to create a play pen in the living room using the couch, chair, toy box, recliner, coffee table to keep him out of trouble while Sean works.....he is not happy with that.....and the minute he gets out he makes a beeline for the ladder to start climbing.

Hiking Adventure up Little Mount Si

Brennan and Sean went hiking on Wednesday up to Little Mount Si. Brennan did a lot of hiking and stick gathering, and then he would ride in the backpack when he got tired. They had a snack at the top, and then headed back down. They didn't get home until 2pm and he hadn't had his morning nap so he was one tired kid. He slept the rest of the day, and woke up a little dirty and grumpy.....nothing that a bath couldn't solve!

Brennan's thumb injury

We were getting ready for our Sangria party this Saturday, and Brennan was out in the backyard playing with a lawn chair, and it collapsed and cut his thumb. It was terrible.....he basically sliced the "pad" off his thumb - and its his thumb sucking thumb. So, he wouldn't keep a bandaid on it.....but he did keep it on long enough for it to stop bleeding. He seems to be fine now.......major injuries are no fun for any of us.....
