A Morning at the Park

We went to the park this morning and had a great time. Brennan spent a lot of time sitting in the grass which was very "swampy" so his jeans were soakes and muddy.

Monster Cave

Sean and Brennan's nightly ritual is to play "monster." Sean chases after Brennan saying "monster." Brennan runs as fast as he possibly can into either our closet behind the hanging clothes, or into my arms. Sometimes Brennan growls or shows "his terrible claws." Last night, Sean made him a Monster cave behind our chair. He thought it was the best thing. These are my shots into his cave.

We met Sean's cousin Mary Kay and family at the Great Wolf Lodge last weekend. It is just south of Olympia, and the resort has a big indoor water park. We had a great time, and Brennan really enjoyed the kiddie slides and the wave pool. It was a blast....

Happy Valentines Day

Brennan finger painted on some paper for his valentines this year. We had fun - although it was messy.

BIG BIG DAY

Brennan POOPED IN THE POTTY TODAY!!!! Big big deal! You can be sure we all did a dance of joy. He was sitting in his chair eating his lunch when he said "poop" and started to make his "poop face." Sean said, "Brennan do you want to poop on the big boy potty?" He whisked him out of his seat, stripped him down and brought him to the potty. We were surprised when we took off the diaper that he actually hadn't pooped yet. Sean propped him up on the edge of the potty, and we said, "OK, baby, poop." and started "grunting" a little to inspire him. And, then he started to show his "poop face", and low and behold he pooped in the potty! We made a big deal about flushing the toilet and washing his hands....etc. Be thankful there is no picture to document this very momentous occasion!

Also funny, he put his doll in "time out" today too.

Playing outside on Sunday

It was a nice day here on Sunday so Brennan and I played outside after church. I got some cute pictures....

A Great Day

I am amazed by what Brennan has learned. We were eating dinner and Brennan asked for some milk. Sean said "You need to thank papa for giving you milk..." and he said as clear as day "Thank You" and signed it too. He has watched that sign on his show Baby Signing Time, but we've never seen him actually do it and say it at the same time so clearly.

Then, he asked for his Maracas.....it took us a bit to figure out what he wanted....but that was it. That's a pretty hard word.

Finally, we were reading a book tonight, and he saw a dog and said Cannon. Cannon is his friend Cassidy's dog. I just thought that was so cute!

Sean has taught Brennan how to summersault....he really thinks its fun!

Play and Lunch with Nolan and Phyllis

We met my friend Phyllis and her little boy Nolan at the Childrens Museum on Saturday last weekend. Nolan was born about a month after Brennan. But, he's a big boy, and he has a smile that can just light up the room. It is so much fun to see them, and we all had a great time.
