Christmas Day - Opening Presents

Christmas Day started out with a blizzard and some yummy coffee cake. His favorite present was his drum. He is in HEAVEN! He also loved his ride along train, back-up Teddy, and tool belt and tools from the Antons. During Brennan's nap we watched the movie The Nativity Story and Sean shoveled. After Brennan's nap we went sledding and made a snowman. Then we had a feast fit for kings, and ended the night be watching The Polar Express.

Christmas Day - Making a Snowman

Christmas Eve

We picked up Nana & Grandpa Ward at 10am on Christmas Eve. We came home and while Brennan napped Nana and Sean made coffee cake - a family tradition for Christmas Day. At 4:30pm we left the house to go to church - we trudged through the slush and snow only to find that church services had been canceled due to the weather! So, we headed to Bellevue and found a great place called the Mediterranean Kitchen. Everything was fantastic, and we were totally stuffed. Then, we walked to downtown Bellevue for Snowflake Lane. Brennan had just a blast with the drummers and his highlight was when one of the drummers let him have their sticks and he played on her drum for one whole song. After that we headed home, and after watching the end of the ND football game, we headed out to Sammamish Hills Lutheran for 9pm services. Brennan broke out in a boisterous loud song not long after the service began and so he and I ended up in the quiet room for the rest of the service. It was a great night!

Merry Christmas! More....

Merry Christmas!

Just some fun with Brennan - wearing the reindeer antlers and nose he got in Syndey, and enjoying the eggnog shake Sean made last night. Also, more fun playing at the park and sledding....

More Reindeer Festival Pictures

Reindeer Festival

Last weekend we met Brooke, Stephen, Hannah, Issac, & Caden at Cougar Mountain Zoo to go to the Reindeer Festival. Our neighbors Jen and Cassidy met us as well. It was a lot of fun, but very cold and very snowy for Issaquah, WA.

Starting a new adventure....

My last week at Starbucks was last week. It was sad and exciting all at the same time. On Friday night we ventured out to get our Christmas tree. The weather forecasters were predicting snow overnight, so we wanted to get it so that we could stay warm and decorate it and not have to leave the house again. We put lights on it on Friday night, and ornaments on Saturday.

On Sunday night, I had a date with Brennan. We had such a good time! We ventured out into the cold right after his nap and headed to Bellevue Square to see Santa. He did such a good job and smiled so big. We just got the picture today and it turned out great. Then, we ate dinner at a place called World Wrapps. He had a very good dinner and was very well behaved, and smiley. He most enjoyed his apple juice - he's really getting the hang of drinking out of a straw. Then, we headed to Snowflake Lane to watch the drummers perform. They have highschool kids that perform every night at seven right outside the mall. They drum along to some jazzy christmas songs, and they blast "snow" from the rooftops. They also had kids dressed up as princesses, rudolph, frosty, and drummers walking around on stilts. He LOVED it....and was just captivated by it all. Then, we went back into the mall and he played in the play area in the mall. It was a great night.

After 3 days at Microsoft, we were snowed in today. So, we went sledding with Brennan's friend Cassidy.

Brennan is growing so fast. Last night he started cleaning up his toys and putting them in his toybox for the first time.

Back to Reality

We got back from our Australia Adventure on Thursday, December 4th. We all had a good sleep luckily, because it all went downhill from there. On Friday night/Saturday morning, Brennan woke up at 2am with a 103+ fever, and Sean was up with him all night. His fever yo-yo'd for the next 3 days, he wasn't very interested in eating, and he would not sleep in his crib. We also noticed his eye getting redder and redder. We got him into the doctor yesterday to find that he has a double ear infection and pink eye. Poor Baby!

The picture is of him after he was covered in oatmeal (the only thing he would eat). You can see that his left eye is red and puffy too. This was right before Sean took him to the Dr.

I've had a crazy week this week - I am leaving Starbucks and tomorrow is my last day. I start at Microsoft on Monday morning! What a whirlwind. I have a mixture of sadness, excitement and anxiety whirling inside - and its Christmas to boot!
