On our final day in San Diego, I had Nana take Caelan and I off base to go to the famous Coronado Hotel (our hotel was on the Navy Base, which meant that we could not get back to our hotel without an escort with a military ID) . There is a person who builds a huge sandcastle on the beach in front of the hotel and he builds a new one every few days.
There was a Pistachio Convention of some kind going on at the hotel, so that is why there are pistachios on the sand castle.
I took this picture just as we were checking out of our hotel the day we left. We lucked out with a great view from our room.
