Happy Halloween - 2012

So, Brennan’s school did not allow kids to wear costumes to school, but luckily his friend Grayson hosted a Halloween Party this afternoon, so he was able to wear his costume out-and-about.  He flip-flopped many times about what he wanted to be.  For the party, he settled on Darth Vader from Star Wars.  I made the ‘control panel’ and belt a few nights ago.  The other pieces were hand-me-downs.

Unfortunately, we couldn’t find his red light saber, so he settled for ‘forcing’ moves….shown below….

Below is an example of what happens to pumpkins in the pacific northwest when you get them the first weekend in October, and carve them right away…..a moldy, buggy, mess – a perfect home for slugs.  Eww!

The grossness did not phase Caelan, she still wanted to pose with them.

So sad this is blurry…..I love the contemplative gooey pumpkin gaze….

Here’s what I got when I asked Brennan to pose…..in a surprise turn of events, Caelan was in no mood to pose.  She was ready to get-the-show on the road.

Last week we did some decorating – art project.  This is Brennan’s Casper the ghost & bats…..these hung hanging down over our porch.
