A rare picture of me holding my baby…..well, my littlest baby anyway.
We decided to break things up a bit by going to the other restaurant on the resort property one night. It wasn’t technically a part of our ‘all inclusive’ program, but it was 40% off and we needed a break from the buffet.
This is path leads from our room to the main pathway that leads to the pool areas. Both kids ran up and down this path many times. Here is my sweet, happy, crazy haired little girl.
Almost every day we spotted whales out in the water – you can see that the boats don’t follow the same standards as they do in the US, in terms of giving whales their distance.
This picture shows many things….the wonderful kid pool at our resort, the amount of things Caelan found necessary to carry around, and how she liked to jump into the pool and make a splash.
She also loved to jump while in the deeper part of the kiddie pool and make a splash….note she still has the bucket and the green shovel in her hand.
Brennan became such an amazing swimmer in the pool in Mexico. He was a complete fish – swimming back and forth in the bigger kiddie pool. The water was so wonderful – like bath water warm.

Caelan got tired of hearing Brennan get praised for his swimming bravery….she started just jumping, undaunted from the edge of the pool – without much warning or worry.

Sean was mortified that I took a picture of this old guy in his red ‘Canada’ speedo….but he seriously had the most amazing body I have ever seen. Look at those legs…..they are “almost’ longer than I am tall…..with this stumpy square torso on top.

Two years ago, we went to Mexico and it was my most favorite vacation ever! We decided to jump in again this year and go back to the Villa Del Palmar in Cabo San Lucas for Brennan’s mid-winter break. And, this time we had the added bonus that Sean’s parents decided to join us. Seven days all-inclusive, with two extra adults who love and care for our children as much as we do, and nothing to do but sit by the pool or beach all day was absolutely GLORIOUS! Sign me up again anytime!
Below are the kids on the airplane….Brennan is a seasoned traveler. Caelan is a little more challenging – although she did pretty good on the way there.

This is a picture of Brennan at breakfast on our first morning in Mexico. I didn’t realize this at the time – but I love how you can see the reflection of the beach and the water in his sunglasses. We made the mistake of letting him wear his swimming suit to breakfast – and that only happened once. He was wet for breakfast, and not very focused on eating. And, Caelan didn’t have her swimming suit on, so she wasn’t focused on eating either.

Caelan loved playing in the sand….she had sand in every crevice…..and unfortunately ended up with a terrible case of chaffed little legs.

Caelan thought the body board was great fun, but Sean ‘paused’ too long to enjoy the end of the ride, and another wave came up and tosses the girl around. She didn’t like it much after that!
Brennan wasn’t wild about the idea either after he saw what happened to Caelan…..
