Battle in the Backyard

It was a Saturday......it was a Saturday dedicated to working in the yard......it was a Saturday in which Brennan never made it out of his PJ's or got a shower.  By days end, he was looking pretty bedraggled.....

But, it was time for battle......with a sword and a paper towel roll.  I love where he put his sword.....

Great Wolf Lodge Spring 2012

We took the opportunity during Brennan's spring break for a little staycation to the Great Wolf Lodge.  We all had a blast - Caelan was a complete daredevil, as we expected.  She was fearless in the wavepool and the waterslides.....

Below is a series of the pictures her going down the waterslide with Papa.....

Here face below is so funny....she really is so good about closing her mouth before going into the water.

This is her sitting at the top of a bigger twisty slide in the kid area.....she would do this at the top, then turn around and go down on her belly.

Finally, Brennan went down the big slide with me, then Papa.....he got completely blasted with a wall of water at the bottom the time he went with Sean.....

We stayed there playing until 6:30pm and didn't eat dinner at the Old Spaghetti Factory until 7:45pm.  Brennan fell asleep on the way home and didn't even wake up when we got him ready for bed.  I had to get up at 4:10am the next morning for a business trip.   It was a great family vacation.  Brennan cried for at least 20miles when we left, but we assured him that we will be back.

Easter 2012 Part 2 - The Bunny Finally Got Here....

Luckily the Easter Bunny finally showed up at the Wards (conveniently while Brennan and I went to the grocery store).

Crazy how Caelan knew just what to do - even though this was her first hunt....

Love that whimsy hair - no hair on the top and long whispy hair in the back.
 Checking out the loot.....

Jenny Pastore joined us for Easter Dinner of Ham, Scalloped Potatoes, Salad......it was a lovely evening and delicious meal.

Jenny brought with her this crazy Greek dye - it made the eggs so brightly colored.
My boy is absolutely crazy for Legos - here are a few of his Star Wars inspired creations.
