At Cassidy's birthday party, I "stalked" her aunt and convinced her to come with her cool DSLR and take pictures during Caelan's party.  I'm SO glad I did - she did a GREAT job!  It was so hard to pick just a few to post on the blog.  They are all so wonderful!

A Very FULL and Happy Thanksgiving Weekend

My parents arrived after a very long and stressful drive over the snowy mountains on Tuesday.  This put them in Issaquah in time for the Thanksgiving Party at Brennan's school.  We were all humming "Oh, I'm Glad I'm Not a Turkey" the rest of the day! 

We had a great Thanksgiving dinner on Thursday, and then Friday my mom, Caelan, and I braved the mall to go to the Joann Fabrics and to get the Cupcakes for Caelan's birthday party on Saturday.  That night, we went to our favorite holiday tradition - Snowlake Lane in Bellevue to see Santa's arrival.  We missed this last year due to Caelan's arrival the day after Thanksgiving. 

Saturday was Caelan's "Hop" Birthday party.  I stayed up way too late (1am) making her birthday cake - modeled after the bunny in her favorite book, Night Night Hop.  She destroyed it in a matter of minutes.....but that's OK, that's what I wanted.

 Evidence below that our beautiful baby is not always so happy and smiley.  She is popping out 3 maybe 4 molars, and is defintely emotionally fragile right now.  Sean was making loud noises and that was all it took to turn her sour.....

 He really had great form when whacking at the pinata at the party - I attribute that to our recent acquisition of Sports Season Two for our Kinect. 

 All she needed for an attitude adjustment was a bunch of balloons.

Fondly Remembering our First Walker - April 2008

I was sure that Brennan was walking at 11months too, so I had to go back into the archives and see......found this little snippit.  Its AMAZING how he still looks, talks, smiles, squeals the same! 

I have to share/document a few cute stories about Brennan.  He really is the sweetest boy on the planet....

Last week, when he and Sean were checking out at the Trader Joes, he asked the checker for a sticker.  She asked him if he wanted just one, and replied that he actually wanted 5.  The checker then asked him if he was going to give them to a pretty girl at school....."no, just mama...."  I'm taking that to mean that he didn't have a pretty girl to give them to - but a pretty mama.....

That same night, we were going through his list of "sight words."  When we got to "and" he said - "yep, that's AND - like Brennan AND Mama love each other."  I said, yep, that's right!
