Crazy Boy

While I was upstairs tonight organizing the office/nursery, Sean and Brennan were outside making a "nest". Sean brought out several blankets, and some pillows.....hit plan being they would make the nest, snuggle in together, and watch the quietness of the neighborhood covered in snow. Apparently, Sean did a real impressive job setting up the nest. Brennan ended up kicking him out, stripping down (he's not into wearing jammies to bed right now - just undies), and hunkering down in the nest. Sean had to call me in to see him, and I couldn't believe he had done that! It was below 20 degrees outside!

Sibling Class at Swedish Hospital

Brennan went to a Siblings Class at the hospital this weekend. It was for kids 3-10 yrs old. He did pretty good although he was more interested in socializing then anything else. He got to see a picture of what baby girl looks like in my tummy, and pictures of newborns, and we took a tour of a birthing suite as well.

Halloween 2010

Pictures from pumpkin carving & being a monster.

I bought Brennan's costume at a consignment store and he just fell in love with it. It was a green 3 eyed monster. He wanted to take his nap in it when we brought it home and he was a total sweat ball. BUT, it was 3T, and although he is 3 he is a very tall 3 so it really was way too small. But, he still wanted to wear it.

The morning after Halloween, Brennan and I were snuggling and the first thing he said to me was...."Papa says I look like a green shaggy carpet." it was so funny!

The first picture is of Brennan and the two girls who live across the street.

Glimpse of Baby Girl Ward

Totally lucked out today. I decided to work from the Microsoft Sammamish office (closer to home), and called Siemens (manufacturer of ultrasound equipment) which just so happens to be right next door to Microsoft, and they got me in as a pregnancy model for their 3D/4D equipment. I had called yesterday, but the technician was worried that I might be too far along and if her head is down it is hard to get a good face shot. I found out yesterday during my Drs appointment that her head is down, but she is still facing out, so I gave them a call and they said to come on in! It was soo cool. I did this with Brennan too, but he didn't really cooperate very much, and he was much smaller. Baby Girl has some really good cheeks, and she was pursing her lips a lot too. They also caught a few seconds of video of her hiccuping and "practicing" her breathing.

Super super cool!

Here's a big shocker, I guess she already has a A LOT of hair. That is very odd, as I don't think Brennan had much hair at all. Fingers crossed that it turns out CURLY!

Here's the video - but I had to make the file size so small to fit on the blog I'm not sure you're going to be able to see much......

Our New Hand Washing Song.....

Great Wolf Lodge - October 2010

Sean was watching a show called "Undercover Boss" the other day when Brennan came down from him nap. The show was about the CEO of Great Wolf Resorts. Brennan caught a glimpse of "the big dumper" and became completely and utterly obsessed.

We tried to explain that it cost a lot of money to go there, and so he wanted us to get out his spiderman wallet (spiderman easter egg he has filled with quarters) - he was sure he had enough to go. Of course he only had $3. Sean tried to explain to him that he needed $300 dollars to go - and tried using the chalkboard to illustrate how much money that was. He drew 300 little lines, and circled 3 to represent B's $3. He circled another 10 for us.....and said, "See, you still have a lot more little lines to circle before we can afford to go." So, Brennan grabbed the chalk and said "OK" and started circling little lines. We both broke down laughing.

He had tantrums, he asked if he could go every 5minutes, he asked people at the gym kids club if they would give him money. One time during naptime he started crying and told Sean he was worried "he was going to take the Midnight Train to the Great Wolf Lodge when he was sleeping." (Yes, we listen to a lot of the Glee season finale CD of Journey songs).

Luckily, we did discover a great Microsoft deal going on for $120 a night - which is a steal. So, we went.....and had a great little break. Of course, he's still asking to go......but its not quite so constant
.

Below is a video of our time at the Great Wolf Lodge.....
