Gene Coulon Beach Park
Time Out
Those of you who know Sean and I know that we are not "potty mouthed." We do not swear frequently around the house, but I guess I have been known to say "damn it" if I boil something over on my freshly cleaned stove, or on the floor." About 6 weeks ago, Brennan dropped his milk into the middle of his food and he looked at us, smiled, and said "Damn it." We told him that it was not acceptible to use that word, and when he said it again we put him into time out. While he was there, we laughed together at how he had at least used it appropriately. Anyway, he has said it less than 3-4 times since, but for some reason he is obsessed by getting "time out for saying a bad word." He gets time out for lots of other reasons, but he's really stuck on this one.....
We laugh at how clearly he says "bad word".

Robert the Rat
Sean called me at work last week to tell me that he had found Brennan playing in the backyard with a pet rat! I freaked out!!! We borrowed our neighbors cat carrier and posted signs around the neighborhood and the next day returned him to his owner. The funny thing is that Brennan started calling the rat Robert (our neighbor kid Robert walked by when they were looking at the rat in the cage, and Sean said "Say Hi to Robert" and Brennan thought Sean was talking about the rat! Turns out Robert was a girl rat named Stella. Yuk....

Hello Summer!
Rattlesnake Lake - Mothers Day Weekend
I've fallen a bit behind on B's blog. Work has been really hectic.
On Mothers Day weekend we went to Rattlesnake Lake for a picnic with our friends/neighbors. Earlier that morning he had taken his first major fall down our stairs, and then when I took him to the farmers maket he fell and hit his head on the asphalt. So, it was a rough day for him. After these pictures were taken, he spiked a fever of 104 and we ended up in the emergency room. It ended up being fine and we were sent home with orders to give him ibuprofen and tylenol to control his fever. The funniest thing is that by the time the doctor came in to see him he was feeling better and strumming his fake guitar tummy. When the doctor came in and asked what he was playing he said "I playing doo-doo-doo-doo". We knew he was feeling better.

Horsey Antics
Brennan loves to run around with his Horsey. This is a hand-me-down from my brother and his kids.
